Privacy Policy — Rotahome

Last updated: 24 October 2026

Rotahome is a chore rota for one home. It runs entirely on your iPhone: there is no account to make, no server behind it and no internet connection used by the app.

What stays on your phone

The names you type for the people at home, the chores you set up, the history of who did what and when, your reminder times and your settings are saved in the app's private storage on this iPhone. Nobody else can read them, including us, and the app never sends them anywhere.

What we collect

Nothing. Rotahome has no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party services. Because nothing leaves your phone, there is nothing for us to sell, share or lose.

Kids

Children in your home appear only as a name and a colour that you choose. The app asks for no email, photo, age or other detail about anyone, and it does not collect information from children or adults.

Reminders

If you switch a reminder on, the app first asks iOS for permission to send notifications. Reminders are scheduled on the phone itself and fire at the times you pick. You can switch them off in the app or in the iOS Settings whenever you like.

Sharing your history

"Export history" creates a spreadsheet file on your phone and opens the iOS share sheet. You decide where it goes, and nothing is sent unless you choose to send it.

Deleting your data

"Reset all data" in Settings erases everything the app has saved. Deleting the app does the same.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date.
